A family-owned business that started as a seasonal soft serve trailer has grown into a new storefront in a more than century-old building in downtown Byron.
Sundae Social is a new ice cream shop with soft serve, hard scoops and other specialty options at 114 W. Second St. in Byron.

It brings together a variety of options at 101 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park.

Eachother, a new brand from the owner of Rockford Roasting Co., is set to hold its first event Sunday as a preview of what’s to come at its future downtown space.
The company is renovating the old Taco Libre, 501 E. State St., for a future brunch spot, wine bar and bistro.
Its event Sunday at Union Lounge will showcase what’s to come.

This week’s @tailsdekalb Pet of the Week is Spike! At 11½ years young, he’s a distinguished senior with a big heart and an even bigger love for life’s simple joys—walks, belly rubs, comfy beds, and of course… TREATS. 🐾
Spike is easy-going, leash trained, house trained, and already knows sit, shake, down, and even a spin or two! He’s been working hard on his fitness journey and enjoys getting out for strolls and staying active at his own pace.
All Spike wants is a calm, loving home where he can be a loyal companion and enjoy his golden years surrounded by kindness, routine, and plenty of belly scratches. 💛
