94.9 WDKB is excited to recognize our NIU Scholar-Athlete of the Week in conjunction with NIU Athletics! Each week, we will highlight a Student-Athlete who has excelled in their studies, their sport, and/or both. Our NIU Scholar-Athlete this week is:

Madison Carlson

Sport: Softball

Position: Pitcher

Year: Graduate Student

Achievements:Madison Carlson threw a complete game in NIU’s 5-1 win at Central Michigan on Friday. She allowed just four hits and two walks, striking out three Chippewas. Her one run allowed was unearned. Carlson is now 6-0 on the season with four complete games.
