Oh look! More corona virus news!
The release date for the new James Bond movie No Time To Die has been postponed due to the corona virus. Since China is essentially on lock down, they don’t want to release the movie when no one is going to go out to the theaters to see it. It will instead premiere in November. Daniel Craig is still hosting SNL this weekend to promote the movie which was supposed to premiere in April. Expect a few jokes about it.
The corona virus is also affecting Baby Yoda. Hasbro is the maker of several “Star Wars” Baby Yoda toys, which were SUPPOSED to finally hit stores later this year. However, Hasbro’s supply chain is being disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak. It’s supposedly not bad yet, but if things aren’t normal by the time June and July roll around, there will be a shortage on toys.
Twitter is testing disappearing tweets. They’re calling them “Fleets” and they sound a lot like Instagram Stories. The new feature will allow you to send out a tweet which will then expire after 24 hours. The idea is to increase usage and engagement by giving casual users a way to share fleeting thoughts with less pressure and risk of sparking a negative reaction. But come on now, once you put something out into the internet, it never goes away.
Director Matt Reeves revealed the new Batmobile and the full Batsuit yesterday. He tweeted out 3 different photos of the car and Robert Pattinson’s Batman… which I have mixed feelings about. It looks like a combo of Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger from Fast and Furious and Adam West’s Batmobile. The Batman hits theaters in June 2021.
Katy Perry is pregnant! She made the announcement in a new music video for her song Never Worn White which dropped last night. Katy is engaged to Orlando Bloom. This will be Katy’s first child, whereas he has a 9 year old son with this ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
Alex Trebek gave an update on his cancer battle yesterday. He says that he’s now one of the 18% of people who survive a year with Stage Four pancreatic cancer. And while that’s good news, he admits that it has not been easy, and there are times he’s thought about giving up.
