Thanks to Meghan Wilinksi in Rockford for nominating the Heartland Hospice Team! She wrote:

“This group of nurses, CNAs, NPs, therapists, chaplain and social work provide awe inspiring care each and every day for the patients and families they care for. They are dedicated to those they serve by making a difference in their day when life matters the most. Whether it be through a warm hand to offer compassion at a visit, the singing of a song to lift their spirits, or helping a patient get dressed and ready to feel a bit more like themselves; these hospice heroes make more of an impact that I believe they truly know. Being a healthcare provider over the last year though this COVID pandemic has not been an easy job. The bravery, resilience and compassion that the Heartland Hospice care team has exhibited especially during the past year is more than commendable. They are truly earth’s angels walking among us.”
