DeKalb County Toys for Tots is in “desperate need” of new, unwrapped toys this holiday season.
The program supplies toys to nonprofit agencies throughout the county, helping provide toys for more than 1,500 children each year.
There are about 100 donation boxes around the county to collect toys, including at the DeKalb Public Library, Aaron’s, Bill White’s Car Hospital, EcoWater, UPS Store, Lehan Drugs, Brad Manning Ford, Jewel-Osco (Sycamore and DeKalb), Family Health Center, Just the Details, Ralph’s Car Wash, HyVee, Office Max, Five Below, Walgreens (Sycamore and DeKalb), Brian Bemis (Toyota, Dodge, Ford and Honda), DeKalb GMC Chevy, Menards, Office Max, Kishwaukee YMCA and Dollar General (DeKalb and Cortland).
All boxes will be picked up Dec. 11 and 12 to give the group enough time to sort and deliver the toys to agencies before Christmas.
