Per Media Release:
About 100 small businesses will exhibit thousands of gift ideas Saturday and Sunday as the Autumn Craft & Treasures Market returns after last year’s hiatus.
The Autumn Craft & Treasures Market, hosted by the Sycamore Music Boosters in conjunction with the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival, runs 9 a.m-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, and 9 a.m-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Sycamore High School Field House, 427 Spartan Trail.
Crowds are expected to be large as shoppers are celebrating being out and about, and being able to buy unique gifts just before the holidays.
“The one thing we need to make our event an absolute smash is help,” said Jason Akst, Boosters publicity co-chair. “The Sycamore Music Boosters is a completely volunteer, nonprofit organization, and every dollar we earn directly benefits Sycamore music programs. For this reason, we rely heavily on volunteer help to run the event. If you live in the area, have some time to spare and want to support a good cause, we really need your help.”
Akst said volunteers, especially adults, are needed throughout the event, but especially on Sunday. Volunteers can help with a variety of tasks and are asked to sign up electronically for a two-hour shift. All volunteers who sign up to work a shift will receive a coupon for free craft fair admission and a meal.
