According to an analysis by The New York Times, airlines performed worse in 2019 getting travelers to their destinations on time, with only 79 percent arriving “no more than 15 minutes after its scheduled arrival,” which was slightly less than 2018. The most punctual airline was Hawaiian Airlines at 87.7 percent, followed by Delta (83.5) and Alaska (81.3). The worst performing airline was Frontier, who managed only 73.1 percent on time arrivals. Canceled flights and tarmac delays over three hours also got worse in 2019.

Another study finds that Americans have over $21 billion in unredeemed gift cards sitting in our wallets. The survey by Bankrate found that the average adult has $167 in unused gift cards and store credit. 57% of those people said they have held onto at least one of them for more than a year. The good news is that, around a decade ago, new rules added consumer protections to gift cards. By law, gift cards cannot expire for at least five years.

RIP to Larry Tesler. You may not recognize the name, but he’s made a huge impact on our technological lives. He is the man that created cut, copy, and paste on computers. He also invented find & replace. I can’t imagine my work day without these features! Larry worked primarily on human-computer interaction (aka user interface design) at tech companies like Amazon, Apple, Yahoo, and the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). He passed away Monday at the age of 74.

Check out this viral tweet of two airline passengers who were seriously afraid of the coronavirus and wrapped themselves in plastic sheets. And I thought I was an extreme germaphobe!
