Here’s an interesting concept: New Zealand’s Prime Minister is floating the idea of a 4-day work week in order to help re-stimulate the economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. 60% of New Zealand’s tourism industry comes from locals. So the idea is to give employees an extra day to go out and enjoy all that the country has to offer. Go eat. Go shop. Be a tourist in your hometown in order to help support it. She says that this decision would ultimately be left up to the employers and employees.

Several studies have already shown that the 4 day work week is a great idea. Employees all reported higher productivity, better work-life balance and reduced stress. Could it also help revitalize the economy?

I like it! But then again I might just be wishing that every weekend was a holiday weekend.
