The Self-Help Legal Center at the Dekalb County Courthouse in partnership with the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board, will offer a unique program designed to offer patrons information on county mental health resources. Kathy Ostdick retired Community Outreach Coordinator will be available at the courthouse to provide information on the mental health services offered by area non-profit organizations.

The Third Thursday of every month Ostdick will be at the Courthouse from 9 am to noon to meet with people. The Courthouse is located at 133 West State Street in Sycamore. Ostdick will be available to assist people seeking information about county resources that offer services related to: mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorder, and elderly and disabled.

People will be given information/referrals on organizations that could address the problems they or their family are experiencing. All discussions are confidential. This is an excellent opportunity for people dealing with a personal or family problem to obtain information and/or referrals to area organizations that could provide help. Ostdick will be at the Courthouse January 18 at 9 am.
