Online registration for Girls on the Run opens January 27th at gotrnwil.org. The Spring program will run March 15 – May 16.
We will have a GOTR program this spring. Although it will look different than past years. Some of our teams will meet at schools and some teams will meet at parks (because school buildings might be closed). All lessons have been modified to adhere to health and safety precautions. Lessons are able to seamlessly transition between in-person and virtual practices as needed. We are ready to bring critical social emotional programming to our girls at a time when they need it the most. Amid this uncertainty, it is our responsibility to empower, educate and inspire the next generation of girls.
We need coaches!
Have you always wanted to be a GOTR coach but couldn’t because of work and commute schedules? Are you now home with family, balancing e-learning and working remote? This is the perfect time to take a few hours out of your day twice a week to make a difference in the life of a girl. You don’t have to be a runner, you only have to want our girls to have the tools necessary to gracefully handle life challenges. That’s what GOTR will bring to our girls this spring – connection, belonging, and strength to tackle the days. We have girls who want to get out, move their bodies and be part of something outside of their computer screens, but we need coaches to make this happen! We need you!
After a simple online training course you will gain access to all the resources you need to lead a small group of girls. During our 8 week season from March-May you will lead your team through fun and interactive lessons while preparing them for setting and accomplishing goals.
