The Merchants of Sycamore are hosting a Halloween Costume Contest!
Children ages 12 and under are invited to model their Halloween costumes, take a photo, print it no larger than 4 x 6, and have their parent take it to one of the participating businesses from Oct 1 – 15.
The participating businesses are:
- Cassie’s Corn Crib Cafe/Cassie’s Popcorn
- Lizzy’s Pink Boutique
- Luxe Salon
- Made Just for You
- SIS Shop in Style
- Sweet Earth
The businesses will be posting the pictures with an identifying number (no names) in their windows. From October 16 – 31 the public will be invited to get a ballot from any participating store, view all the photos in the different windows, and vote for their favorite in ten categories.
The ten categories are:
- Most Creative
- Funniest
- Scariest
- Prettiest
- Ugliest
- Most Colorful
- Most Elaborate
- Best Prince/Princess
- Best Superhero
- Cutest
Ballots will be turned in at any of the participating businesses. One ballot per person please. The votes will be tallied and the winners announced. Winners will get a $100,000 candy bar and a ribbon award.
