“After two restricted summers, we are excited to welcome back visitors and look forward to fully opening Hopkins Pool this season,” stated Superintendent of Recreation, Andrea Juricic. “To better accommodate those that want to join us all summer long, we have added two new pool pass options with our Family of Four and Active Adult pass options.”

These deeply discounted rates will be available during the spring flash sale dates only, however, early-bird rates are available until May 2, 2022. If you are a DeKalb resident and the cost of pool passes is financially burdensome, the Dekalb Park District Scholarship Assistance Program is available for qualifying participants.

Hopkins Pool, located at 1403 Sycamore Road, opens daily for the 2022 season on May 28 – August 14 and will be open weekends only, August 20 – September 5. The aquatic facility features a zero-depth wading pool with an interactive play structure, a lap pool with two water slides, a diving well with both a low and high dive, and a concessions stand area. Daily admission fees are $6 for residents and $9 for non-residents.

DeKalb Park District staff and the Park Board are continuing to gather feedback regarding the future of Hopkins Pool and a potential pool renovation. A pool survey is available now through April 1 on the District website and the community’s feedback will be invaluable in helping determine the next steps for the aging facility.
