DeKalb Loves Local Gift Card Promotion & Raffle

WHAT IS DEKALB LOVES LOCAL?

The DeKalb Chamber Leadership Academy, in partnership with DeKalb Chamber of Commerce businesses, is expanding on the statewide I Love Local campaign, an initiative to encourage shopping locally. Here are the details:

Purchase a gift card or gift certificate from a participating business beginning April 11 through April 30, 2020. UPDATE: RAFFLE EXTENDED THRU MAY 31
For every $5 gift card purchase you will be entered into the DeKalb Loves Local raffle. Example: Purchase a $50 gift cards = 10 entries into the drawing.
Once you have purchased your gift card/gift certificate you will need to submit your receipt via the QR code or URL that will be listed on the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce web site www.dekalb.org under the COVID-19 tab and select I Love Local.
There are three prizes:
- First prize is $500, provided by Larson & Darby, (payable by check) and a $500 gift certificate to Redeemed Office in DeKalb
- Outdoors themed basket valued at $600
  - Foursome of Golf at River Heights Golf Course- $100 (DeKalb Park District)
  - Personalized Grilling Tool Set- $40 (KAST Laser Creations)
  - 2 Personalized Tumblers- $35 (KAST Laser Creations)
  - Personalized Table Top Corn Hole Set- $40 (KAST Laser Creations)
  - Franklin Sports Total Outdoor Fun 5 Combo Game- $35 (Christ Community Church)
  - 3M Product Basket- $100 (3M)
  - $250 Gift Certiﬁcate to Redeemed Oﬃce

- Music themed basket valued at $500

Drawing will be held at noon on Friday, May 1^st via a Facebook live segment on the DeKalb Chamber Facebook page.

WHAT SHOPPERS CAN DO:

First and foremost, stay safe by following social distancing guidelines and stay home and use online purchasing tools.
Some small business may not have an online gift card system so you may need to call the business and verify how to purchase a gift card.
Don’t forget to purchase gift cards to use at a later date.
Buy gift cards and gift it to someone who is in need, or give it as a gift it to a front line worker, grocery store clerk, hairdresser, wait staff or friend.
