There have been no reports regarding COVID-19 scams or frauds to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. However, Sheriff Scott is alerting citizens to be aware of that possibility. Examples of scams such as individuals going door to door regarding COVID-19 surveys. Apps available on your phone regarding COVID-19 cures or information, also phone or on-line solicitations allegedly providing cures or protection from COVID-19. Please delete or ignore such electronic solicitations. If you are personally approached regarding COVID-19 information or surveys, contact local law enforcement.

Please rely on local, state, and federal health departments, your family physician or reputable media outlets for COVID-19 information and updates.
