The DeKalb County Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Promise Grant – Subvención de Promesa program. Eligible organizations can apply before the October 1, 2023, deadline. Learn more about Promise Grants or apply online at dekalbccf.org/promise-grants.

Promise Grants support the needs of underserved and often dismissed populations in DeKalb County. The Promise Grant program aims to inspire, educate, and empower individuals who may experience extraordinary challenges due to their ethnicity, immigration status, and abilities.

“The students have enjoyed playing the new games and trying out new activities,” said Anna Scott of Neighbors’ House and 2022 Promise Grant recipient. “One goal of this project was to support students’ social-emotional learning as they engage in essential social skills. Examples include taking turns, healthy competition, how to win/lose a game appropriately, and more.”

Available dollars for this grant program come from two Funds at the Community Foundation, the Promise Fund-El Fondo de la Promesa and the Howard and Mildred Eychaner Fund.
