Here’s something to keep in mind if you purchase media through the Amazon Prime Video service.

As part of its defense against a lawsuit in which a woman claimed that Amazon “secretly reserves the right” to end a customer’s access to content they purchased, Amazon is admitting that you don’t actually OWN the Prime Video content you “buy”. You’re just paying for a limited license. If that content gets pulled from Amazon, you lose it, too. All that is noted in the site’s user agreement…which no one ever reads.

So, if you really want to own a movie or album without risking losing access to it… go old school and buy the DVD, the Blu ray, or the CD.
