Valentine’s For Seniors Program Returns For 2024
State Sen. Dave Syverson and State Rep. Jeff Keicher are asking residents to once more lift the spirits of people living in long-term care facilities by sending them Valentine’s Day cards.
This is the fourth year in a row this program has been initiated. They are are encouraging community members, churches, schools, and other groups to participate by dropping off or mailing Valentine’s Day cards to the lawmakers’ offices in Cherry Valley and Sycamore. Once the cards have been collected, they will be delivered by the lawmakers and their district staffers on the communities’ behalf to residents of long-term care facilities in communities across the region.
Valentine’s Day cards will be accepted through Feb. 7. Participants will have the option to mail or drop their cards at 527 Colman Center Dr., Cherry Valley, IL 61108 or 158 W. State St., Suite C, Sycamore, IL 60178.
