Freeze your lemons and limes. Cut them up, put them in a freezer bag, and you’ll have wedges that are good for 3 to 4 months!

Use shaving cream to polish chrome and stainless-steel fixtures without harsh chemicals.

Leave a sheet of aluminum foil at the bottom of your oven to catch drips. Replace as needed for a much easier clean!

Flip pineapples upside down for 30 minutes before cutting it up. This allows an even distribution of the sugars and juices.

Prevent ice cream cones from dripping by placing a mini marshmallow inside the bottom of the cone.

Let your chicken hang out a room temperature before putting it on the grill. If the chicken is too cold, the meat will tighten and end up tough and may stay cold and raw near the bone even after the rest of it is cooked.

You can use dish soap to help unclog your toilet. Pour a generous amount of dish soap into your clogged toilet and let it sit for 15 minutes. Flush it out with one gallon hot water.

Wednesday July 22nd

Use a sturdy water glass to help peel a mango. Cut the mango into halves, then place the edge of the cut mango, where the skin meets the flesh, against the rim of the glass. With a little pressure, push the mango down the side of the glass. The skin peels away from the fruit in one piece, and the mango slides right into the glass. Here’s a video tutorial!

Keep ants, spiders, or mice away by soaking cotton balls in peppermint essential oil and placing them in problem areas around your home.

Drink a cup of coffee right before a 20-minute nap. That’s how long it takes the caffeine to kick in, so it’ll help wake you up right when you need it.

Don’t dilute bleach in hot water. It will make the chemicals break down more quickly and be less effective. It is okay to use hot water and bleach when doing laundry as the chemicals are confined within the washing machine.
