Sycamore Public Library Partners with Tails Humane Society for Puppy Adoption Event

The Sycamore Public Library is partnering with Tails Humane Society to host a special adoption event on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., welcoming adoptable puppies into the Library for a fun and meaningful community experience.

During the event, visitors can meet several puppies currently available for adoption through Tails Humane Society, learn more about the adoption process, and connect with staff and volunteers who work daily to support animals in need. Whether attendees are actively looking to adopt or simply want to stop by and meet the pups, all are welcome.

“This event reflects what we value as a Library,” said Jill Carter, Assistant Director of the Sycamore Public Library. “We are here to connect people with resources, with one another, and with opportunities to do good in our community. Partnering with Tails Humane Society is a natural extension of that work.”

The adoption event also aligns with the Library’s ongoing Winter Reading Challenge, Warm Tails for Cold Nights, which runs through February 27. Open to all ages, the challenge encourages reading, exploration, and participation in activities for a chance to win prizes. Participants can easily track their progress using the Beanstack app or website.

The event is free and open to all ages. No registration is required.
