The Sycamore Public Library invites the community to discover the art of pie-making during Easy as Pie with Chef Cherise, taking place Thursday, March 5 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Local culinary expert Chef Cherise Slattery will lead an engaging demonstration covering essential pie crust techniques including mixing, rolling, shaping, blind baking, and decorating. Participants will also learn creative ways to use pie dough beyond traditional desserts, with ideas for quiche, crostata, and hand pies.

Attendees will enjoy bite-sized samples of fruit pie and pie cookies while gaining practical tips and recipes they can recreate at home.

Programs like Easy as Pie reflect the Library’s commitment to lifelong learning by offering opportunities for community members to explore new skills, share experiences, and connect with others.
