Sycamore Public Library Hosting Super Mario Galaxy Celebration Ahead of New Film Release

Families in the community can power up their afternoon when the Sycamore Public Library hosts a Super Mario Galaxy Celebration on Friday, March 27 at 4:00pm.

The event will celebrate the iconic video game character and his friends with Mario-themed activities and creative stations in the library’s Youth Services department, building excitement ahead of the upcoming Super Mario movie release.

Designed primarily for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, the program is open to all ages and requires no registration, though supplies will be available while they last.

“Mario has been part of many families’ childhoods for generations,” said Jill Carter, Assistant Director of the Sycamore Public Library. “With the excitement surrounding the new movie, we thought it would be fun to bring that energy into the library and create a space where kids and families can celebrate together.”

Family programs like this help introduce young visitors to the library while offering opportunities for creativity, play, and shared experiences.

All programs at the library are free and open to the public, and no library card is required to attend.
