Walcamp Day Camps have begun!

Located in Kingston, Illinois, Walcamp offers an outdoor alternative to regular day care. With new themes and activities every week, including STEM activities, the environment encourages learning and play. Day Camp is offered weekly, June 1st to August 7th Monday through Friday (most weeks) from 8 am to 5:00 pm.

Whether you are looking for child care, or your kids need to get outside, Walcamp is a safe place to grow and experience adventures by offering a trained team and small group ratios, while paying close attention to the CDC recommendations.

COVID-19 Information

Walcamp is committed to holding a safe and fun summer day camp experience for your children.

Day Camp will follow all recommendations of the CDC and ILDPH and DeKalb County Health Department.  Here is a brief breakdown of their safety plans:

  • All campers will be broken down into pods of 10 campers per pod.
  • Each pod will have their own dedicated leaders that will be consistent during the week.
  • Each pod will have their own “home base” with their own bathroom facilities.  All facilities will be disinfected frequently during the day per guideline.
  • Each Pod will travel and do activities together.
  • Extra attention will be made to not mix pods.
  • Lunch will be served with disposables or sack lunches.  Pods will eat their lunch in an area away from other groups.  (Either in their home base or out in the outdoors)
  • Between each pod’s visit to the dining hall for lunch, the serving area will be disinfected per CDC guidelines.
  • A special supply list will be available shortly.
  • If Camp is canceled all fees will be refundable.
