The Victor E. Bash, Northern Illinois University Athletics’ summer fundraising event, returns with a combination of online and in-person events from June 6-10, 2022. Huskie fans, friends and alumni are invited to attend and tune in for unique programming, bid on great auction items and donate to show their support for NIU’s 17 sports programs and 400 student-athletes.
The virtual portion of the Victor E. Bash – with most events available on the NIU Athletics YouTube Channel or at the online auction site – enables fans from across the country to participate. Join the Watch Party and look back at the NIU football program’s historic run through the 2012 season that culminated in the Huskies’ Orange Bowl appearance. Get ready to click and win during the popular Wine and Spirits Pull.
There is no charge to watch any of the events on NIU Athletics’ YouTube Channel or to sign up for the online auction. While several events will go live at specified times during the Virtual Victor E. Bash celebration, all the YouTube and online content can be viewed at any time.
This year, the Huskie Summer Circuit returns to an in-person format with stops in St. Charles and Rockford during the Victor E. Bash. Hear from Huskie head coaches and Vice President and Director of Athletics & Recreation Sean T. Frazier as they provide updates on their programs and Huskie Athletics.

Monday, June 6-Friday, June 10: Victor E. Bash Online Auction
Bid on a wide variety of Huskie gear, signed memorabilia and experiences from all sports programs and watch the hype video that will kick off the 2022 Victor E. Bash. Bidding opens at 9 a.m. (CT) on Monday, June 6. The auction will close at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 10 at the conclusion of the 2022 Victor E. Bash.
The auction is a great way to support student-athletes AND get your hands on some new gear and/or experiences.

Tuesday, June 7 – 2022 Huskie Summer Circuit – Pollyana Brewing Company, St. Charles, 5 p.m.
The Summer Circuit opens at Pollyana Brewing & Distilling Company in St. Charles (106 S. Riverside Ave., St. Charles 60174) as fans are invited to join Frazier, Huskie head coaches and members of the NIU Athletics administrative team live and in person at Pollyanna Brewing Company OR watch it live online on the NIU Athletics YouTube Channel.
Chat with the coaches and NIU staff while enjoying appetizers and the cash bar before hearing from every coach and Frazier during the program. Purchase football and volleyball season tickets on the spot or win one of several available raffle prizes like tickets or Huskie gear. Register in advance for $5 or pay $10 at the door on the day of the event.
Wednesday, June 8 – 2022 Huskie Summer Circuit – Franchesco’s Ristorante, Rockford, 5:30 p.m.
In the second – and final – leg of the 2022 Summer Circuit, NIU coaches and staff return to the longest running Summer Circuit stop, Franchesco’s Ristorante in Rockford (7128 Spring Creek Rd, Rockford 61107)
Wednesday, June 8 – Virtual Wine & Spirits Pull, 7 p.m. (Online at Victor E. Bash Auction Website)
One of the most popular events of the Victor E. Bash returns in this game where everyone – who is quick to the draw, that is – wins! Purchase a number for $40 and receive the bottle of wine or spirit that matches your number, worth up to $175. You’ll find out what you’ve won when the contents are revealed the next day. Pulls sell out fast so be ready!
Thursday, June 9 – NIU Football 2012: A Season to Remember (Premiere on YouTube)
Relive the epic 2012 NIU Football season that culminated with the Huskies’ double overtime win over Kent State in the MAC Championship game and a historic invitation and appearance in the 2013 Discover Orange Bowl. During this presentation, watch game highlights and hear behind the scenes stories from some of your favorite former players and staff. Join the live chat during the premiere to share YOUR memories of that season 10 years ago. This special feature is a great way to prepare for the 10-year reunion of NIU’s Orange Bowl team during the 2022 season opener versus Eastern Illinois.

The 2022 Victor E. Bash wraps up with a live video presentation on YouTube featuring Sean T. Frazier and special guests as they take time to thank all the supporters and participants for their support of NIU student-athletes. The show will also feature a look back at several of the success stories from the 2021-22 NIU Athletics season and look ahead to 2022-23. Tune in and chat during the premiere or watch anytime
