Watching footage of peaceful protests around the country and around the world has been very powerful these last few days. I’ve especially loved seeing the lighthearted ways people are working to unite their communities with law enforcement:

A teenager in Philadelphia dragged a basketball hoop out to a protest with a sign that read: “I’ve always used basketball to try to bring people together. Today I feel is a day we need that most! I have sanitizer, if you’d like to play!”

There’s a lot of great video coming out of protesters organizing to dance to the Cupid Shuffle with some police officers joining in!

In Naperville, people have begun decorating boarded up businesses with signs and messages promoting love and understanding.

It makes my heart smile.
