Hi, I’m Coco the Bachelorette, a 1-year-old, about 40-lb independent queen looking for my perfect match this Valentine’s Day! I’m smart, confident, and not afraid to have a little sass. I know sit, lay down, shake, and my name, and I’ll happily show off my skills for treats (payment required, obviously).
I love exploring, sniffing everything, and turning heads with my ridiculously soft brindle coat. Cuddling isn’t really my love language, but snacks absolutely are. I tend to bond best with men, and I am not the biggest fan of other dogs. If you’re into beauty, brains, and a girl with opinions, let’s meet. 94.9 WDKB is excited to recognize our NIU Scholar-Athlete of the Week in conjunction with NIU Athletics! Each week, we will highlight a Student-Athlete who has excelled in their studies, their sport, and/or both. Our NIU Scholar-Athlete this week is:

Year: Redshirt-Senior
Achievements: Blake West claimed a first-place finish for the Huskies wrestling program at the annual Midlands Championships at 125 pounds on December 30. In the championship match, West battled against Tyler Chappell of Pitt, holding a late charge off for a 6-5 decision win. West claimed wins over Iowa State’s Christian Castillo, Franklin and Marshall’s James Garcia, and Indiana’s Ayden Bollinger. The No. 2 seed in the tournament, he won all four of his matches by decision, including a sudden victory win over Castillo in the semifinals. In national polls, West holds three top-25 rankings as the Huskies prep for the NWCA National Duals.
