NIU’S FRAZIER INDUCTED INTO SUFFOLK COUNTY (N.Y.) SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Northern Illinois University Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean T. Frazier added “hall of famer” to his résumé Thursday evening (May 30) as he was inducted into the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame on his native Long Island.

Frazier, who is completing his 11th year leading the Huskie athletic department, joined a distinguished class of natives and residents, including former major league baseball all-star, National League MVP and World Series champion Keith Hernandez, local college and high school athletes and coaches, media personalities and community members in the 2024 class.

“Suffolk County, New York and specifically Centerport/Greenlawn and Harborfields High School were a major part of my upbringing,” Frazier said. “The lessons taught from these experiences shaped who I am today. I am thankful, humble and blessed to be on this outstanding journey. Many thanks to all at the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame for the recognition! Congratulations to all the 2024 inductees!”
