NIU-Toledo Kickoff Time For November 5th Matchup Announced

The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday that the Northern Illinois University football team’s game at Toledo on Wednesday, Nov. 5 will kick off at 6 p.m. CT at the Glass Bowl. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

 

NIU reclaimed the Bronze Stalk trophy this past Saturday with a 21-7 win over Ball State. Running Backs Chavon Wright (Opa Locka, Fla./Charleston) and Telly Johnson Jr. (Augusta, Ga./Hephzibah) combined for 266 rushing yards as the Huskies amassed 305 yards on the ground against the Cardinals. The Huskies’ defense forced three turnovers as Quinn Urwiler (Mooseheart, Ill./North Dakota) led all players with 14 tackles and added a tackle for loss. Urwiler is second in the country with 12.1 tackles per game.

 

This is the 14th midweek matchup in the NIU-Toledo series. The Huskies have won nine of those games, including a 31-28 win at Toledo in 2019.
