Northern Illinois University Softball Head Coach Kathryn Gleason has announced the addition of Madilyn “Maddi” Nevitt for the 2026 signing class.
Nevitt comes to the Huskies after competing for Tri-County Jr/Sr High School in Wolcott, Indiana. Nevitt and the Lady Cavaliers have posted a 54-14 record in three seasons, going 17-4 in conference play. Nevitt has recorded 76 runs, 84 hits, 10 home runs, and two seasons with a batting average of .406 or better. In the pitcher’s circle, Nevitt has posted a 23-9 record, had a career-best ERA of 1.92, and struck out 329 batters in over three seasons.
Nevitt has earned five athlete of the week honors in her career, a three-year First Team All-Conference member, multiple All-Area and All-State honors, and academic honors. A dual-sport athlete, Nevitt was a member of the conference champion team her junior season and earned multiple academic awards at the conference and state level.
Nevitt marks the fifth signing for Gleason, joining Kylie Fish, Lilly Heath, Makenzie Johnson, and Michaela Power, who were announced in November 2025.
