On Saturday, April 27, join the Northern Illinois University Huskies, spirit squads and fellow Huskie fans at Huskie Stadium and the Chessick Practice Center for the annual NIU Football Spring Showcase, preceded by the Victor E. Fan Fest and Surplus Sale. All activities are open to the public and free to attend.

At 10 a.m., the Victor E. Fan Fest and Surplus Sale gets underway in the Chessick Practice Center with inflatables, face painters and tailgating games for the kids, special appearances by the NIU spirit squads, Victor E. Huskie and Mission III, and snacks and beverages available to purchase from Takis to Go. Take pictures with the Camellia Bowl Trophy and pick up a free 2024 NIU Football schedule magnet.

Shop for new Huskie gear at the Fan Fest, including items with the vintage “Fighting Huskie” logo, and renew or purchase 2024 football season tickets on the spot.  At the Surplus Sale, find brand new cleats and athletic shoes, as well as game-worn jerseys and other items – both clothing and equipment – from multiple sports. These items are priced to sell!  Cashless (credit/debit card) payment only. The sale will close at Noon.

At Noon, the Huskie football team takes the field for the final practice of the spring. All seating will be on the West Side of Huskie Stadium with cashless concessions, including beer specials, available to purchase beginning when gates open at 11 a.m.

Half of the approximately two-hour practice will consist of 11-on-11 situational and scrimmage periods with officials on hand. During the Spring Showcase, the Coaches Club on the West Side of Huskie Stadium will be open to the public featuring light snacks, beverages and a full (cashless) bar. Following the conclusion of practice, the NIU football team will sign autographs on the field with free commemorative 2023 Camellia Bowl Championship posters provided, while Huskie Athletic Fund and season ticket members are invited to the Barsema Hall of Champions (between the Yordon Center and the Chessick Practice Center) for the annual season ticket member lunch. Hear directly from Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean T. Frazier, Hammock and members of the NIU Football coaching staff.
