Celebrate the magic of the season with the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra led by Linc Smelser, KSO music director, at the KSO’s Holiday Pops Concert: “Winter Wonderland.” This year’s festive performances will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall, located in the Northern Illinois University Music Building.

A hallmark of the holiday season, the KSO’s Holiday Pops Concert is a local tradition that brings together the community through music. Enjoy timeless holiday classics performed by the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, alongside special guests, The Celebration Chorale, directed by Christine Monteiro.

Plan to come early and stay afterwards to enjoy local music ensembles including NIU Suzuki Strings, Crosswinds Flute Choir, and the Kishwaukee Brass Quintet will perform in the lobby before the concerts, during intermission, and after the concerts, filling the hall with festive melodies and community spirit.
