KICKOFF TIMES ANNOUNCED FOR NIU HOMECOMING, BUFFALO GAMES
The No. 25 Northern Illinois University Huskies’ football games versus Buffalo on September 21 and Toledo on October 19 will kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CT) at Huskie Stadium.
NIU, which entered the national rankings for the first time since 2013 this week after upsetting No. 5 Notre Dame on the road Saturday, has an open date this week before opening Mid-American Conference play against Buffalo on September 21. The game, which has been designated the “Salute to Service” Day at NIU, will air on ESPN+. NIU is also celebrating Family Weekend and Band Day at the game.
In celebration of the Huskies “Boneyard Win” at Notre Dame – the 19th in school history – West Side reserved seat tickets for the Buffalo game are on sale for $19 each with promo code Boneyard19. East Side general admission tickets are available for $12.50 as fans are invited to pack the house in honor of the historic victory over the Fighting Irish. Purchase tickets online at NIUHuskies.com/tickets or by calling 815-753-PACK (7225).
The Huskies’ October 19 game versus Toledo is the culmination of Homecoming Week as NIU celebrates its 117th Homecoming, marking the oldest such celebration in Illinois. Television information on that game will be announced 12 days prior to the game.
