Kanon Woodill Named A Lou Groza Award Star Of The Week
Senior kicker Kanon Woodill (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) of the Northern Illinois University football team has been named a Lou Groza Award “Star of the Week” on Tuesday for his kicks in the Huskies’ 16-14 win at Notre Dame last Saturday.
Woodill made three field goals and an extra-point in NIU’s first-ever win over an Associated Press Top-10 team. His 42-yard field goal late in the first quarter put the Huskies up 10-7.
