Downtown Shabbona will have it’s very first Shabbona Day Festival this weekend from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
According to Destination Shabbona’s Facebook Page, a new day festival is coming to downtown Shabbona.
The festival will feature a farmers and artisan market at Nokomis and Rt. 30 and town-wide garage sale from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
There will also be games, live music, raffles, food, local businesses, vendors, a birds of prey exhibit, a nature walk and more!
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Festival begins on E. Navaho Street. There will be Big D’s Hotdogs, Tinez Tacos, 5-B’s BBQ and a bake sale too.
The Shabbona Fire Department will have a fire safety bootha nd a rubber ducky race. You can purchase tickets for this even at the farmers market.
Of course, no festival would be complete without a dunk tank, pie eating contest and sack races! You can sign up to enter at the Destination Shabbona table during the festival.
