The Northern Illinois University football program hosted its 2026 Pro Bowl on Thursday evening, with 13 Huskies participating in front of National Football League scouts at the Chessick Practice Center.

Participants this year included kicker Andrew Glass, defensive tackle Alvin Gulley, defensive back Donte Harrison, long snapper Isaac Hatfield (NIU ’24), safety Muhammed Jammeh, defensive back Cyrus McGarrell, defensive end Davonte Murray, defensive back Ty Myles, offensive lineman Izuchukwu Ozoh, offensive lineman Aidan Tweedy, linebacker Quinn Urwiler, defensive lineman Jalonnie Williams and running back Chavon Wright.

Linebacker Quinn Urwiler put together a solid performance in front of scouts, recording 36 reps on bench press, 6.86 second three-cone drill, 4.27 second 20-yard shuttle and 4.69 second 40-yard dash.

“Pro Day was super exciting,” Urwiler said. “Came in with some goals in mind and to be honest with you, I hit a lot of them. Super stoked on every drill I did, especially on testing part … The drill work was super fun with all the guys just being able to showcase that in front of scouts is always a good time.”

Urwiler tied defensive backs Muhammed Jammeh and Cyrus McGarrell with the fastest unofficial 40-yard dash, each recording a 4.69. Defensive back Ty Myles led the way in the three-cone and 20-yard shuttle, recording a 6.59 in the three-cone and 4.21 shuttle.

Both McGarrell and Myles tied for the highest vertical jump with a 37 1/2″. The two were just ahead of defensive back Donte Harrison, who finished with a 35 1/2″.

“I think I did very well, I’ve been training for eight weeks and I felt confident going into the day,” said Harrison. “I’m just hoping to get a shot at a mini camp, I just want a foot in the door because I’m going to kick it down.”

Harrison pointed to his versatility as an asset to potential NFL teams.

“I can play multiple positions,” said Harrison. “I’m a very smart player, you can ask the coaches in here. I’ve played safety, nickel, corner. I’ve played it before and at any level. I feel like I’m just a ball player.”

Defensive lineman Alvin Gulley and offensive lineman Aidan Tweedy tied for second on bench, each recording 27 reps. McGarrell had the longest broad jump at 10′ 6″.

Between Urwiler’s performance on field, which included leading the nation in 5.92 solo tackles per game and 141 total tackles, and his showing at Pro Day, the linebacker is hoping to hear from teams in the coming weeks.

“You turn on the tape and you see me running down guys that you would think are faster than me,” said Urwiler. “It shows that my end game speed is on another level.”
