Beginning this fall, Northern Illinois University Athletics will have two on-campus Huskie Apparel Store locations to provide Huskie fans with the ability to purchase exclusive products, team-issued gear and novelty items.

The Huskie Apparel Store will include a location inside the NIU Convocation Center, which will be open during all Convo events beginning this fall, as well as a location inside the NIU Recreation Center. The Rec Center location, which is scheduled to open on August 23, will be open Monday-Thursday from 2-8 p.m., Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

In addition to those permanent locations, apparel from the store will also be available for purchase in The Yard at all Huskie Football home games as well as at other select home NIU sporting events.

“We are very excited to be able to make this store a reality starting this fall,” said NIU Associate Athletic Director for Brand and Equipment Management Paige Shinberg. “We have listened to our fanbase on the types of apparel options they would like to have and that has been our starting point. One of the biggest things I have heard is that our fans want adidas product that aligns with what our teams are wearing, and we look forward to offering them the opportunity to buy those products.”

In addition to adidas products, including official team-worn lines and replica jerseys, the Huskie Apparel Store will also offer other exclusive apparel, including items featuring the Fighting Huskie throwback logo, and other novelty items available only through the store.

The NIU Convocation Center location is located near Entrance One in the northwest corner of the Convo while the NIU Rec Center location will be just inside the main entrance. The Convocation Center location will be open this weekend for Brian Regan on Friday, August 9 and One Night of Queen on Saturday, August 10.
