Illinois hospitals are putting out a call for protective gear amid concerns that supplies will run short because of the coronavirus response.
The Illinois Health and Hospital Association is asking other professions that use N95 face masks to consider donating them to their local hospitals. Those masks may be used by the construction industry, dentists, veterinarians, and others.
The association says the growing number of cases means hospitals are in danger of running out of the masks… which are essential to protecting health care workers from transmission of the virus.
