Celebrate the season, capture cherished memories, and support local history—all in one magical experience!
Christmas Mini Sessions by My Saving Grace Photography at The Glidden Homestead offer a cozy, rustic setting filled with holiday charm, perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to create timeless holiday portraits. Photo sessions will be held Saturday, November 29 at the Glidden Homestead, 921 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb. Pre-registration and an online deposit are required. Registration can be found at GliddenHomestead.org. Ten digital images are included with purchase.
Set against the backdrop of historic buildings and vintage details, these sessions are more than just a photo op—they’re part of a meaningful mission. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Glidden Homestead, helping preserve and restore this iconic place for future generations to enjoy.
The Joseph F. Glidden Homestead and Historical Center is a not-for-profit organization working to preserve the home and barn while providing educational opportunities to the public. The house and Welcome Center are open from noon to 4 p.m. each Sunday. The Phineas Vaughan Blacksmith Shop, also located on the Glidden campus, is open each Sunday while volunteer blacksmiths provide living history demonstrations of the craft.
