Students in Genoa-Kingston will be going back to the classroom five days a week beginning March 8. The Daily Chronicle reports that the Board of Education approved a plan this week that will allow all district students to return from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. A fully remote option will also be available. Students won’t eat lunch at school, but grab-and-go breakfast and lunch will be available for free. The district superintendent said that about 80-percent of all students will return to in-person, while 20-percent will remain fully remote. The last time students attended five days a week was March 12 of last year. Genoa- Kingston is the largest district in the county to return to five days a week. DeKalb and Sycamore are still in a hybrid model.
