Garden Story Times at DeKalb County History Center

Free story times will be hosted by the Sycamore Public Library at the DeKalb County History Center this summer.

Each storytime will include a story, songs, craft activities, and a walk around the gardens. “We love this summer activity and partnership with the library. This free event is a nice way to get outside, hear a good story, and make some family memories” explained Michelle Donahoe, DeKalb County History Center’s Executive Director.

These story times will be held in the garden area of the History Center, 1730 N. Main Street in Sycamore. These programs are free and open to the public; they are geared toward children 3-6 years of age, but siblings are welcome to participate.

Programs will each have their own theme and will be held on select Fridays throughout the summer: June 14, ladybugs; June 28, bugs; July 12, bumblebees; July 26, flowers; August 9, vegetables. For more information, visit www.DeKalbCountyHistory.org or call 815-895-5762.
