Family Service Agency Is Collecting Donations To Assist Families Affected By The Recent Apartment Fire

On December 22nd, a devastating apartment fire in DeKalb left 32 families displaced just before the holidays. Let’s come together to ensure these families have shelter and support during this critical time.

Family Service Agency is accepting monetary donations and gift cards (for clothing, restaurants, grocery stores, transportation, etc.).
During this season of giving, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our incredible community. Your generosity is bringing hope and comfort to these families during tragedy.
Please note: They are not accepting physical donations of food, clothing, furniture, or housewares.

Those interested in donating should contact Rylie Loucks-Kues, director of community programming and outreach, by emailing rlouckskues@fsadekalbcounty.org or by calling 815-758-8616 ext. 1200.

Monetary donations will go to cover temporary housing, hotels, transportation and other urgent needs. Gifts cards are welcomed for clothing stores, local restaurants, Uber, grocery stores and other shops where families can purchase basic necessities.
