The Sycamore Lions will be conducting their 25th Annual Great Western Trail Clean-up Saturday. Anyone wanting to help may meet at the Great Western Trailhead / the Sycamore Lions Shelter, Sycamore Forest Preserve at 8am on Saturday April 20th. Crews will be sent out to various locations between the Preserve and the County Line.
In 1995, the Sycamore Lions took on the challenge of Adopting the Great Western Trail. Since 1995, each Spring on a Saturday close to Earth Day, the Lions and helpers bag the trash that has accumulated on the north side of Route 64 and the trail area. The DeKalb County Forest Preserve staff disposes of the trash.
