Museum Workshop Day

The DeKalb County History Center and DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership are proud to announce the Third Annual Museum Day Workshop on November 21 at the DeKalb County History Center. All history groups in DeKalb County are invited to attend this FREE event.

Several sessions are planned as well as time to meet and network with those involved in the history field. Board members, volunteers, and staff are all encouraged to register for this event. This year’s theme is “Looking to the Future.” Topics include: Digitization and potential funding opportunities – presented by: Advantage Archives and Michelle Donahoe, DeKalb County History Center; WNIJ’s new mobile recording studio, presented by: Staci Hoste, WNIJ; and Preparing for the future through strategic planning, presented by: Alison Costanzo, St. Charles Heritage Center. The day will end with a discussion about prioritizing partnership opportunities.

The Museum Workshop Day is Thursday, November 21 at the DeKalb County History Center, 1730 N. Main Street. The workshop runs from 10:00 – 3:00.  This event is generously funded through a grant from the Douglas C. and Lynn M. Roberts Family Foundation. Call 815-895-5762 for more information.
