Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra Spring Pops Concert

The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director and Conductor Linc Smelser, is proud to present the Spring Pops Concert, on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 7:30 pm, in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall inside the Music Building, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb.

On the evening’s program will be:
* American Salute, by Morton Gould
* Danse Bacchanale, from Samson and Delilah, by Camille Saint-Saens
* Selections from A Chorus Line, by Marvin Hamlisch and Arranged by Calvin Custer
* Canon, by Johann Pachelbel
* Concertstuck for Trombone and Orchestra, Op. 7, by Wilhelm Muhlfeld, with Kirk Lundbeck on Trombone
* Ballet Music from Faust, by Charles Gounod
* Somewhere in Time, by John Barry and arranged by Calvin Custer
* The Knight Bus, from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, by John Williams
* Waltz from Sleeping Beauty, by Peter Illych Tchaikovsky
* Colonel Bogey, by Kenneth J. Alford
* March from Raiders of the Lost Ark, by John Williams

Tickets go on sale 30 minutes prior to each concert in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall lobby, NIU Music Building. All seats are general admission (no reserved seating); it is recommended to arrive early. Individual ticket prices are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors 62 and older, and $7 for students (with a valid school ID) and $7 for children younger than 12.

Tickets may also be purchased by calling the Egyptian Theatre box office at 815-758-1225 or in person at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., DeKalb, between 3 and 6 p.m. on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, with cash, check or credit card.
