An event over 90 years in the making is happening at the Egyptian Theatre
in Downtown DeKalb! In celebration of the completion of their recent $6.5 million
expansion project, the Theatre is hosting a Grand Re-Opening Open House on Sunday,
October 24 th from 2 to 5 PM.

The public is invited to join the Egyptian Theatre staff and Board of Directors as they
open the doors of the recently renovated 91-year-old venue. Attendees will have the
opportunity to explore the many new spaces this project added including the new
restrooms, 2nd floor expanded foyer space as well as the ability to buy a drink from the
new concessions stand. No RSVP or ticket is required to attend.

The Egyptian Theatre located at 135 N. 2nd Street in Downtown DeKalb, IL is owned
and operated by Preservation of Egyptian Theatre, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization.  Annual support provided by First National Bank, Northwestern Medicine,
Shaw Media, and Tapa La Luna.
