Virginia from the DeKalb Chamber came by to discuss the 26th Annual Spooktacular event. This is a Downtown DeKalb trick-or-treating event for all ages! Invite your friends and family to put on their best costumes and trick-or-treat at over 30 Downtown DeKalb businesses on Thursday, October 26th from 4-6PM. After trick-or-treating, the Egyptian Theatre will be offering a FREE movie showing of Casper at 6:30PM for you to continue the fun!

Jennifer Groce from the DeKalb Area Belonging Council was our Guest DJ today. We talked about what they do and also, a great event coming up.

Dr. John Powell is returning to DeKalb for “Belonging: A Call to Building a Healthy Community,” an in-person conversation with the community on Monday, November 27, at the DeKalb High School auditorium.  A community meal will be offered at 5:00PM in the high school cafeteria, with the presentation beginning at 6:30PM.

Katie and Sheridan from Adventure Works were our Guest DJs today!

Adventure Works, a local DeKalb nonprofit organization whose mission is to change lives through adventure therapy and experiential learning, is hosting their third fall fundraiser called “Take a Hike”. In partnership with the DeKalb County Forest Preserve, a guided hike will be led by Josh Clark and Peggy Doty, two very popular locals known for their expertise of local flora and fauna.
