Streaming service Disney+ is kicking off the new year with the announcement that we’ll be seeing one of its planned Marvel series premiere in 2020.  Disney+ has revealed that WandaVision will be coming this year, following initial reports of a 2021 premiere date.

The company confirmed the news in a video *which can be viewed here* teasing all of the new releases coming to Disney+ this year. Alongside clips advertising The Mandalorian season 2, the Lizzie McGuire reboot and Disney films Lion King and Toy Story 4, the video also included a still from WandaVision, confirming it would be debuting as part of the 2020 line-up. Disney+ then also confirmed the news in a follow-up tweet.

The upcoming Marvel TV show is already in production. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will reprise their big screen roles of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision respectively in the new series, while Teyonah Parris will feature as Monica Rambeau, the daughter of Maria Rambeau (Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers’ best friend).
