The most expensive house for sale in DeKalb looks like something out of a movie!

I’ll admit, I have a guilty pleasure of searching through real estate websites, dreaming to have the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Countless bedrooms, walking closets, airy windows… the list goes on and on.

While flipping through the local listings, I came across the most expensive home for sale in DeKalb and it is stunning! I can not stop looking at this listing. It’s located on 3rd street near Pine.

The Zillow Listing boasts this 1884 Ellwood family Victorian estate as the most beautiful historic home designed by George O. Garnsey. It is over 7,000 square feet and let me tell you, it has EVERYTHING.

The impressive home has FOUR levels of finished living space, including a six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It sits on a double lot with a three car garage and the original two car carriage house… so you can store your horse and buggies. (Or really whatever you’d like!) It also has an indoor hot tub!

When you first walk in, you can’t help but soak in all of the beauty in the details of the space. LOOK AT THAT STAIRCASE!

Every fancy expensive home deserves a drawing room, and this one delivers. I can’t help but think of the movie Titanic hoping that Jack would draw me like one of his French girls.

Hand painted stenciling, Bradbury & Bradbury silk-screened wall paper, multiple fireplaces, original 10′ tall pocket doors, amazing stained glass windows and beveled glass doors… all things that I’ve DREAMED of are featured in this home. Don’t worry, the kitchen is just as majestic as the rest of the home.

They say kitchens and bathrooms are what sell a home, and they don’t lie. This penny tile and soaker tub have me counting my change in my piggy bank.

If you aren’t sold yet, take a look at this stunning loft area with rich wood, stone fire place and unique architecture.

Oh! If you happen to have about $600,000 for me to borrow, can you let me know?
