Per the DeKalb County Unites Facebook Page:

Small business owners are passionate about their business, their customers and helping their communities. This group of hard-working entrepreneurs are at the center of the DeKalb County economy. Today, small businesses are endangered by circumstances beyond their control.

The COVID-19 outbreak has turned the world upside down, posing one of the greatest challenges to our health and, for many, our livelihood in generations. The travel, tourism and hospitality industry is among the small businesses that have been severely impacted by Governor JB Pritzker’s mandatory “stay-at-home” order. Recent economic stimulus legislation and initiatives at both the federal and state level to provide grants to small businesses will provide some assistance, but additional resources are needed for small business to sustain itself through the long haul.

DeKalb County UNITES is passionate about helping small businesses make it through this historically challenging period. Getting Ready for Recovery is a series of virtual conversations with local experts and fellow small business owners who are sharing their expertise and insights with small business owners to pull through the dark days and prepare for the inevitable recovery.

Getting Ready for Recovery will cover everything from marketing tips to applying for an SBA disaster recovery loan. Small business owners can ask questions, share their experiences and be encouraged by the support of fellow small business owners and community members invested in their success.

Getting Ready for Recovery will be live every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2 p.m. Watch here for (free) registration and live links: https://www.dekalbcountyunites.com/webinars
