DeKalb County Community Gardens Rebrands as Rooted For Good

DCCG is changing its name to Rooted for Good!

Why the change?
1. Our reach has grown to include more than DeKalb County. We work with folks from across the entire state. From Freeport to Belvidere to Springfield and everywhere in between!
2. The new name will make for easier recognition of our work in our communities. Instead of Walnut Grove Vocational Farm, it will be Rooted for Good Kirkland. The Genoa Area Community Food Hub will be Rooted for Good Genoa. And the Grow Mobile will be our mobile food pantry, based at our Rooted for Good DeKalb warehouse.

What should I expect?
* You can be certain that Rooted for Good will continue its mission to grow food security, empower our neighbors through education, and build community.
* You can explore our new, easier to navigate website at RootedForGood.org! Click the link below to navigate our services and learn more about us!
You will see gradual changes–it won’t happen all at once– in the signage of our trucks and different locations.

Remember: new name, same mission! Thank you for all the ways you care for our neighbors in partnership with Rooted for Good!
