The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is seeking artwork for the cover of their 2023 Business Directory Guide. The theme is “Growing DeKalb” as our community has experienced growth in business, diversity, and attractions while keeping its original agricultural roots. The Business Directory is printed and delivered throughout the DeKalb area as well as published as an online booklet. Artwork entries should reflect what a “Growing DeKalb” looks like to the artist and have a professional representation. The top selection will be chosen as the cover and other entries may be included inside the directory. Entries are due January 20th by 5PM.
REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA FOR SUBMISSIONS
- Submit your entry as a high-resolution PDF or JPG image to virginia.filicetti@dekalb.org by 5PM on Friday, January 20th
- All forms of art are acceptable (digital, photography, paint, etc.)
- Size/Bleed Info
- Total document should be 8.75” x 11.25” tall. There is a 1/8” bleed and 1/8” inset for copy to create a “safe area” on all sides
- Safe area inside the document is 8.25” x 10.75” tall. All type, logos, etc. should be included in the safe area. Only background photos/images should be in the bleed
- Your submission must include a document including:
- Name
- Address
- Phone
- Provide a brief explanation of how you’ve seen DeKalb positively grow with your submission
SELECTION AND PRIZES
- Cover winner will receive a $250 prize value
- Entries will be reviewed by a Business Directory Guide committee within the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce
- The winning artist will be required to sign a release allowing the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce to use the artwork on the cover of the Business Directory Guide and in advertising
